SCAMART

ART IS SCAM

“My intention never was to make a project and be cash grabby about it. I just actually want to be someone that’s putting out one-of-one art.”

Scamart is a full-time physician – specifically a hematologist oncologist. From the medical world to that of NFTs, crypto and web3, it isn’t as far a jump as you’d think. It highlights the incredible diversity contributing to the NFT space. After getting out of their scrubs, Scamart lives and breathes art. This artist was surrounded by people in their medical field who knew of NFTs, and had entered the crypto space in 2017 when they were buying crypto and scouring the bear markets. Fast forward to today, and Scamart creates fascinating art inspired by traditional artists like Basquiat, but also artists that create comic books, cartoons, and DC heroes like Batman.

“Ever since I was young, art was like a big part of my life,” Scamart shares. “I had a lot of artists in my family, not just music, but even traditional artists.”

When web3 caught their attention and the opportunities it offered creators, Scamart couldn’t resist the platform to share art with like-minded people. Their love for art is for art’s sake, for the love of creation and expression. They say: “My intention never was to make a project and be cash grabby about it. I just actually want to be someone that’s putting out one-of-one art.”

As many artists do, Scamart loves the community aspect of web3. Forming relationships in web3 is different than in the real world: “It’s totally different because sometimes you meet a new person, and you instantly know that you’re going to be their friend.” Web3 is a unique social economy, believes Scamart, “where you can form those sorts of relationships with certain people just from the fact that they are your collectors or you’re their collectors.”

Scamart believes in creating healthy relationships with their collectors and often does this by rewarding them for their support. Scamart believes that the collectors are “the ones who are taking you to that next level. Because if these guys didn’t buy my piece, I wouldn’t have created that piece that ended up being shown everywhere.” Engross yourself in Scamart’s work. You’ll become an instant fan!
