A Timestamp of Emotions

“I rely heavily on gut instinct and emotion in my work. Embrace the present, let yourself be carried along, and see where life leads you.”

‘Organica’ is an imaginary world created by Greek 3d abstract organic artist, Onyro. This world is intended to become an experiential destination within the Metaverse.

Onyro (a.k.a. Anthony Kyriazis) lives and works in Athens, Greece, and has a vast 23-year background in working at digital agencies in London, New York, and Athens as a Creative Director, Executive Creative Director, and Owner, creating multi-award-winning platforms, campaigns, and experiences for some of the biggest brands globally.

In web3 and the NFT space, ‘Organica’ is his personal fantasy. He entered the NFT world in 2020, and his artwork has since been exhibited at Digital Natives Manchester, NFT Liverpool, and Contemporary Calgary. He is co-founder of the Bloom Collective, a collective of some of the world’s brightest creative talents in the NFT industry.

If it wasn’t for hackers, he might never have minted any works – or even jumped into web3. In 2017, he fell victim to hacking and had to pay a 0.6 BTC ransom to retrieve the decryption keys. His interest was piqued, and he decided to investigate the crypto realm. Instantly fascinated by how it functioned and what it could accomplish, he was enamored by the possibilities it offered.

As an artist, he found the NFT space full of potential and promise. He invested in the 3D program Houdini that summer of 2020. “I dove in, even though I had never tried it before,” he recalls. “In October of the year 2020, I joined the KnownOrigin platform, as I was just invited to do so.”

“I continued to create artwork and eventually stumbled into a decentralized version of Instagram on the blockchain, where I could save and track all of my creations,” he shares. “It was a snapshot in time of how I felt about everything at the moment.”

By looking at his creations, it’s hard to believe Onyro ever struggled with art. “When I was a kid, I did things that weren’t typical at all,” he recalls. “My art was full of abstract forms and doodling that didn’t represent anything real. I just never excelled at it.”

He learned that when he created his own imaginary universe and space in his mind, he was able to focus better and create art. He shares: “I rely heavily on gut instinct and emotion in my work. Embrace the present, let yourself be carried along, and see where life leads you.”

‘Organica’ will enthrall and captivate you. Dive in!
