“I also think (and deeply hope) the overall accessibility of web3 will improve exponentially. With access to these opportunities more easily available to all people, not just a privileged few.”

Kristina Flynn is making the NFT space more inclusive, one step at a time.

Born and bred in a Toronto, Canada, suburb, Kristina has always been interested in art, culture, and sport, particularly basketball. While she explored a career in law after studying Criminology and working in a law firm, she found herself yearning for more, so she returned to school to pursue public relations. Landing a “dream job” with the Toronto Raptors, Kristina soon became enamored with the community and charitable aspects of the job. Once again, she made another career change – philanthropy – and another before landing in tech.

When her social-impact tech company came to a halt during the pandemic, the now-entrepreneur found her interest in web3 piqued thanks to a Gary Vee podcast. After an aggressive spiral down the NFT rabbit hole and acquiring her first NFTs, Kristina realized that the space lacked diversity and equity.

Considering how she could draw attention to these inequalities, Kristina started building a personal brand around her own experiences and beliefs on how underrepresented folks deserved equal opportunities.

After working as Head of Community and Storytelling for Ed Balloon’s, The Run Ed Collection, she partnered with Patrick Wagner (@patrickwagner) and co-founded ‘INTENTIONAL.,’ an agency and artist collective helping creatives build strong personal brands in web3.

Firmly cementing herself as a thought leader and advocate within the NFT space, Kristina has reached many personal milestones worth celebrating: “There are a few things that have been monumental for me as an individual this past year. I ventured outside my comfort zone, like campaigning and being voted by the community for a position on Rug Radio’s RugDAO Council. I also spoke at NFT NYC. Just getting up on stage and sharing my personal experiences – something I’ve struggled with for years – speak to my personal growth.”

Does Kristina foresee web3 undergoing a significant transformation over the next few years? She says: “I think scaling will look different, as will success. Mass adoption won’t be as much of the focus as the quality of relationships. I also think (and deeply hope) the overall accessibility of web3 will improve exponentially. With access to these opportunities more easily available to all people, not just a privileged few.”

With extensive experience in several industries, Kristina boasts invaluable knowledge to share with web3. In addition to running her own branding and storytelling agency, she’s also launched ‘INTENTIONAL. AF’ a weekly podcast sharing the latest in branding, marketing and tech tools to help creatives build scalable, intentional, and badass brands in Web3.
