“I believe in what blockchain technology can be, not just what the purposes of web3 are now, but in the future.”

Since entering the world of NFTs, Field has experienced the ecstasy and agony that comes with collecting and trading. “I’ve made a lot of mistakes, but also made a ton of right calls,” he mentions.

Before he arrived in web3, Field was trading in crypto and would hear the echoes of the promising world of NFTs via Twitter and Discord groups. “I’ve been in crypto since 2016. I knew about NFTs, but unfortunately, I didn’t buy CryptoPunks back in 2019. And I then decided to get involved right at the beginning of 2021.”

Without knowing, he was at the right place at the right time. “Then the boom happened,” he recalls, “and in that phase, I was able to get ahead of it, luckily.” From here, he became entranced by the array of digital art and the ability to collect art while establishing long-lasting relationships with the artists.

This comradery is hugely prevalent and is the foundation for the world of NFTs, and everyone obliges. The result is a worldwide community coming together and sharing the same goal: creating a decentralized system where the public is the driving force for change and creativity is the provider.

“There’s the benefits of having multiple voices out there helping you,” he says.

With this in mind, Field is no stranger to offering a helping hand. He has guided other artists, whether it be setting up an account, teaching the essence of cryptocurrencies, or pointing them in the best direction for curating collections. With Field, there’s one thing for sure: he’s always happy to help.
