“By regularly featuring an array of artists and making their work accessible to a broad audience, Artchild promises to encourage community and connection.”
I’m a creative director. A significant part of this is orchestrating a vision and bringing the right minds together to create and execute it flawlessly. It excites me to be immersed in creative collaborations. I love the synergy of different voices teaming up and learning from each other, often resulting in something greater than what I’d imagined.
I’ve had fantastic opportunities to work with and learn from some of the most inspiring minds across many disciplines. My background training as an art director and graphic designer gave me the potential to bring our brand to life – the ultimate practice of everything I’ve absorbed throughout my journey. All roads led me to the creation of Artchild.
My mother first conceptualized Artchild in 2016. When she brought the idea to me, I wasn’t ready to give this business the best chance for success, and I needed more time to gain the experience and confidence to realize it.
Several years later, more free time at home during the pandemic provided an opportunity to breathe life into the Artchild concept in a way that wasn’t possible before. The artistic landscape was evolving as digital creation was beginning to take up more space. I felt ready to make sense of the project’s scope and who I could collaborate with to achieve it. With the right team, I expanded the original concept into something that could relate to users and creators in the contemporary space.
The concept was born out of the idea that art is for everyone, and is rooted in community connection. We envisioned a space that allows anyone to become a collector without formal admissions or prerequisites to participate.
Artchild is a platform that invites everyone to co-create with artists and purchase customized limited editions of their works. Users can choose an artist’s original to reimagine, give it their custom spin on our interactive canvas interface using a palette curated by each artist, and claim their one-of-a-kind artwork. The edition can be claimed as a fine art giclée print or minted onto the blockchain.
We embrace using the blockchain as a means to ensure that artworks are traceable, verified as limited edition, and stored in perpetuity. It also allows Artchild to be inclusive of digital artists and collectors.
By regularly featuring an array of artists and making their work accessible to a broad audience, Artchild promises to encourage community and connection.
