Benbodhi, a tech enthusiast, musician, and proud Nouns-pilled DAO contributor, combines a deep passion for the NFT space with a love for its projects and people. A lifelong collector, he has found a new avenue in NFTs to maintain his collections without the need for physical space.
His approach to building his collection is a thoughtful blend of supporting emerging artists, seeking out rarer items, and finding pieces with personal resonance. “I curate items that resonate with me, ones I have no intention of parting with,” he explains.
On his collection strategy, Benbodhi shares, “My primary focus is to acquire pieces I love, ones I am content to hold onto indefinitely, without concerning myself with their potential value. Each purchase I make, I consider its worth to be zero from that moment on.”
For Benbodhi, the most rewarding aspect of collecting art is the opportunity to support pioneering artists who are exploring the potential of this nascent technology. “It’s exhilarating to back these innovators, and it’s given me a richer appreciation for art, a pastime I truly relish,” he says.
A staunch advocate for artists in the space, Benbodhi has championed various initiatives to elevate them, from organizing art contests to contributing to The Noun Square. His efforts extend to curating artists for the creation of POAPs (Proof of Attendance Protocol tokens).
In terms of fostering a healthy NFT ecosystem, Benbodhi believes in embracing openness and experimentation, ensuring accessibility, providing educational resources, and enhancing security and privacy. He underlines the need for collaboration, ethical practices, and respect for intellectual property rights.
