Immersive Experience with

“I think the beautiful thing about this is that we get to innovate, push boundaries, work with unbelievable artists and evolve with a growing community.”

Beets is an old hand at pushing creative boundaries. An award-winning Australian filmmaker, Beets’s entry into the NFT space was driven by a profound purpose: to generate funding for the first-ever documentary filmed by refugees. The gripping film entitled ‘Those Left Waiting’ provided refugees from across the globe with the opportunity to take control of their own narrative.

The NFT sale for ‘Those Left Waiting’ was hosted by Rarible and was a resounding success. Since then, Beets’s become a master at creating memorable interactive generative experiences, such as the incredible ‘HERE & NOW’ experiences. He has spent the last year experimenting with different ways to add these experiences to the green Tezos blockchain. For example, their one-of-a-kind interactive minting experience ‘The Passage’. He remarks: “This is something that’s truly unique, not just in the generative art space, but in the NFT space. You go inside and experience something amazing. You go on a journey. You make choices that shape your generative token, like going through doors or interacting with certain objects, or how long you might spend in a space, and those choices are actually defining the traits and design of your tokens.”

Although his web3 stint to date has been edifying, he does have some regrets – such as not buying Rubenfro’s ‘Dissolved Paintings’ NFT when he had the chance.

As an award-winning Australian filmmaker, Beets’s music videos, VR projects, and films have enjoyed screentime at some of the most prestigious festivals across the globe. He draws his blockchain inspiration from Rubenfro, Sutu, and Jenni Pasanen and rates Denis Villeneuve as one of his favorite filmmakers.

Of his collaborations with some of the biggest names in the NFT game, he says: “I think the beautiful thing about this is that we get to innovate, push boundaries, work with unbelievable artists and evolve with a growing community. We are able to create these vivid moments in time based on their creations. It is a really great collaboration between myself and the artists.”
