EVOKING FEELINGS

“The Gods and Angels concept is because, throughout my life, I’ve felt like somebody was watching over me.”

Born on the Caribbean Island of Trinidad, Keigan (a.k.a Arrogant Kei) moved to Brooklyn, New York, before settling with his family in Atlanta at age 10. His passion and need for creativity followed him throughout his school days (and beyond). “Throughout my whole life, the only path in life I really saw was something creative,” he shares.

Having averaged a 3.5 GPA, Arrogant Kei could have neglected his creative talents for a simpler occupation and life pathway, but that isn’t his style: “Nothing resonated with me, my passions were all creative.”

Throughout his studies, he remained close to artistic outlets. He became knowledgeable in a number of creative sectors, “I did music production, fashion blogging, and now I’m taking a stab into digital art.”

This ‘stab’ Keigan is referring to is a very modest claim. Having recently been accepted to SuperRare, the sky’s the limit for this young and uber-talented artist.

Absorbed by intricate and lively hues, angelic celestial figures are seen roaming in Arrogant Kei’s work. “The Gods and Angels concept is because, throughout my life, I’ve felt like somebody was watching over me,” he says.

Keigan’s signature style is due to his unconventional processes of utilizing 2d and 3d software. “The style I mainly use is created by moving the artwork from 3d into 2d and adding colors, textures, and so on.”

Aligning with his artistic, angelic nature, evoking feelings, creating nostalgia and self-awareness are core fundamentals Arrogant Kei carries in each artwork. “My goal is to have the viewer more in tune with their emotional side… and for them to focus on the importance of being in tune with their interior self.”
