AOI
“I love the idea that digital art and boxing technology can empower artists anywhere in the world.”
WHAT STARTED AS A CURIOSITY HAS LED TO AOI (ART ON INTERNET) TESTING THE BOUNDARIES FOR EMERGING ART AND TECHNOLOGY. “TWO OR THREE YEARS AGO, I NOTICED PEOPLE BUYING NFTS AND WONDERED, WHAT’S THE BIG DEAL?” RECALLS AOI’S FOUNDER.
As AOI’s founder began collecting artworks from the likes of Jake Fried and Joe Pease, it marked the start of their journey as a prominent figure in the NFT space – when AOI’s founder talks, people listen. However, it takes more than beautiful art for AOI’s founder to start considering buying: the creative process is just as necessary. “I always reach out to the artists to understand where the design comes from, the philosophy, the ethos,” AOI’s founder shares. As they became more involved in the always-welcoming NFT community, their mindset shifted from collecting to thinking, ‘How can I really help these artists?’
As AOI’s founder unraveled new layers of information about this mysterious, growing industry, the pull factor became more obvious: web3’s decentralized system and the idea of giving power to the creatives. “I love the idea that digital art and blockchain technology can empower artists anywhere in the world.”
As their passion for the NFT space grew, AOI’s founder sought to “make people realize more about the world of NFTs and this new form of digital art.” Their driving force? “A love for technology, humanity, beauty, and creativity” – with the belief that digital art and NFTs combine it all.
The mixture of wanting to elevate and showcase artists was the seed planted in what would be the start of formulating and developing the ‘world’s greatest NFT auction,’ where ‘proceeds go to charities’ – the start of perpetual giving in the NFT space. Visit AOI’s website, and you’ll be mesmerized. The collection is breathtaking.
Another exciting venture from AOI is a high-fidelity VR museum. Inspired by the architecture, design, and art philosophy of the Japanese island of Kushima, AOI looks to combine nature with art. “I believe the Metaverse should incorporate natural components. So the museum has a daytime and nighttime mode, as well as light that really respects the architecture,” shares AOI’s founder.
Today, AOI stands as a foundation for emerging art and technology. Its mission is to promote digital art and make NFTs accessible to a global audience through a permanent collection, Metaverse exhibitions such as the excellent generative art project ‘QQL: Analogs,’ television documentary series, as well as a diverse schedule of 1/1 events. It collaborates with artists and brands to help create innovative projects that help improve the world.
